Barista for One Hour
“Barista for one hour” is the initiative directed to those of our customers who want to discover the best way to prepare their own coffee following different brewing methods.
During the lesson, together with our coffee expert, our customers will have the opportunity to learn about coffee, experiment distinctive preparation techniques, and taste various drinks and blends.

All our Baristas have been professionally trained by ICIF - Italian Culinary institute for Foreigners in accordance to the SCAE (Specialty Coffee Association of Europe) standards.
ICIF offers an innovative training course for professionals and enthusiasts. The 1st level International Coffee and Bar Course is a 6-day training conducted in Italy. It is divided into 3 days of the training at the 9 Bar Academy where students attend a 16-hour Basic Coffee Course with the possibility to take the 1st level of the SCAE Coffee Diploma. The remaining 3 days of the training are held at ICIF Headquarters in Costigliole d’Asti where they develop their practical skills with the barman and bartender.
The aim of the course is to train professionals in the HoReCa sector, especially baristas, bartenders, and Italian coffee specialists.
